Pair of Hand Carved and Gilded Italian/Florentine bow sconces

  

This is our superb and rare pair of Italian/Florentine wood and gilt metal wall lights mirror etc. We used them in our dining room but quite frankly they would shine in any room. The backplate has been hand carved into a large wooden bow, which has three bulb holders on each held by fine gilt metal stems and which also feature delicate and large gilt metal leaves. The drip plates are finished with a pretty fluted edge.

There is a hanging hook on each. They are in excellent used condition with all the lovely gilding in place, only a little tarnishing of the gilt on the metal leaves, not noticeable when installed, please see pictures.

The dripping wax plastic bulb covers are all in great condition and are included. Never seen another set like them, so unusual and so charming. SES bulbs required - not supplied.

Dimensions are approximately: overall width 30cm, overall length 24cm and maximum projection from wall about 20cm. Whilst this listing is for 2 wall lights, we have 4 in total, therefore we currently have a separate listing for another pair if you are interested. Please note that we paired these sconces with a gilded hand carved wooden chandelier which has 6 bulb holders and is available in a separate listing, this piece really complemented the sconces.
