Up for sale are a very unusual pair of carved rootwood water buffaloes from the late 19th century. They are really well carved and the rootwood has a wonderful colour and patina.

The riders have typical paddy field attire and the buffaloes have their original eyes. They stand 24 cms high and measure 23 cms across. They are in very good antique condition. They weigh a very substantial 3154 grams approx.
